Socially disadvantaged groups benefited more, including:
– people with lower education
– greater financial strain
– lower perceived social status
– identifying as Black or Hispanic
These groups began with lower well-being and showed greater improvement.

From pre to post, participants reported:
-increased emotional well-being and positive emotions
-increased happiness agency
-reduced stress
-increased self-reported health and sleep quality
Effects were consistent and tended to be stronger for those who completed more days.

The Big Joy Project asked participants to complete 1 micro-activity per day (e.g., express gratitude, watch an awe video).

Each took ~5-10 mins. Participants completed daily surveys and a final reflection. Over 100 countries were represented in the sample.
