The Tribune spoke with several Texas Tech professors about new restrictions on instruction related to gender identity.

They described a system where politics shapes what can be taught and faculty have little protection if they resist.
Texas Tech system’s vague guidelines on gender identity spur more questions than answers
Faculty have spent weeks seeking clarity on new restrictions, which have often been issued by word of mouth. A written Q&A was rescinded.

HOT TO GO! was the highlight of the dance floor (of course!) 💖

I am obsessed with this picture with @katiealegria.bsky.social!

P.S. Can you spot @jacasiegel.bsky.social & @roxannefelig.bsky.social on the dance floor??

I also love these photos from the night before where we brought our friends on a sunset electric paddle boat ride around Lady Bird Lake (ft. bats and surprise fireworks to close out the night!)

My dad died in May of 2020 and I knew this would be one of many difficult moments of missing him. I’m so grateful for the ways we incorporated Austin music & Townes Van Zandt specifically as part of our ceremony. It all felt so right.

It was a whimsical garden wedding that felt so true to us as a couple & our love of nature!

Extra special to have these books from my childhood that always made me want to frolic in a garden — one was a given to me when I was 4 y/o with a handwritten note inside that was incredible to rediscover 💕

On May 25, 2025, I married my best friend in a lush garden in Austin. From Houston to San Francisco to Lubbock, we’ve created and recreated our lives together — I feel so grateful we get to keep moving forward together 💕

If there’s one thing to know about me, it’s that if you invite me to your wedding, I WILL be out on the dance floor (I’m sorry).

When we moved to the Bay Area for my partner’s job, I didn’t know a soul. But almost immediately, @ryanlinnbrown.bsky.social and @sanjanacurtis.bsky.social became my closest friends. It’s hard to form new, deep connections as an adult, but it’s like the three of us have known each other forever.

As researchers or clinicians, how do we navigate conversations about the demands of caring (i.e., "cost of caring") without minimizing the importance of care work?

Dr. Giscombé shared her thoughts on navigating difficult conversations around coping based on her research into Superwoman Schema.
