Just finished watching War in the Pocket and that was an amazing show. It gave me the civilian and colony perspective I’ve wanted from Gundam and it did a great job at making the mobile suits and war terrifying again. It might be my favorite Gundam project I’ve watched since the og show

Been watching Gundam Wing cause a friend wants to watch Endless Waltz with me when it comes to theaters next month and I like it so far but I like Gundam for the story, characters, and how it explores conflict and it hasn’t been doing much for me so far

When making Psychonauts, Tim Schafer was on Friendster so much it distracted him from writing, so he made Friendster accounts for the camper characters as a writing exercise, but when Friendster went down, Double Fine made a site called Campster to recreate the accounts, but it shut down in 2020

Final Fantasy 10-2 is a really moving exploration of what it means to live in a world where the future is guaranteed but unknown. It was wonderful to get to play a sequel that didn’t want to rehash the previous game, but actually explore how the characters and world would move on

Just played and beat Sin and Punishment 1 for the first time and that was one of the coolest and most fun games I have ever played

Took me too long to buy volumes of Hunter x Hunter but I’m very glad I did. It’s my favorite comic and I fell in love with it when I borrowed the volumes from my library so it’s nice to have my own copies, especially to be able to look at a physical copy of Togashi’s art close up whenever I want

Started HRT today and I still can’t believe it! I’ve known I’m trans for 11 years and have been wanting to take it for 10 years but the world and my self doubt made me too scared to do it but I finally have and I’m really excited!

Forgot about the 2-in-1 rerelease of Nana they’re doing for the anniversary so when I saw it in the store today I grabbed it immediately. I know this series will be my shit so I’m excited to finally read it

Finished reading John Byrne’s Fantastic Four run and that was a great follow up to the Kirby/Lee run (even if there was 11 years between them). He really understood the FF, portraying them with nuance and really developing them (especially Sue), and wrote some stories and moments I won’t forget.

Started playing the Bubsy 4D demo and damn this is fun! I really like how the moveset lets you easily get past everything cause it lets you clear all the challenges the way you want and it means you need to be good at using it to skip sections if you want to clear the time trial

I’m up too late and thinking too much about how the core of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is being a celebration of humanity and exploring how people can rise against the struggles in their lives. It’s such a wonderful affirmation of life and the journey it takes us on

Finished walking a playthrough of Xenosaga Pied Piper and god does it tell a great story. I really liked Xenosaga 1 but it’s just an introduction to everything the series wants to cover, so getting the tragedy of Ziggy’s backstory while fleshing out the setting and doing it this well is impressive

Xenosaga Ep 1 is a pretty good game. I really like the slow pace, and even tho it’s clear it’s only half of the story they wanted to tell, I think they still do a good job at making this an engaging story, especially that ending
