Sorry, it's kinda a painful topic (as for many fans of original who didn't ask sequel but wanted original's resurge & maybe new merch)
I'm glad u rediscovered E7 for yourself though! Its legacy needs to be carried.
I'm just not sharing any enthusiasm abt Ao or movies (w exception of Pocket Rainbow).

"Different" was Last Exile sequel. Very underwhelming as separate work but it did not try to undermine or twist original chars, worldbuilding or message. It was somewhere after original, gave few innuendos to fans but was... inoffensive.
Ao rewrote original ending & said we should just take it.
Sigh

I feel like Ao undermines ending of E7, basically inverting message of original, that Coral wants to communicate (but has no idea how) & is not hostile.
Then Ao basically says in your face "you know what, nah, it is hostile, Dewey was right, even Coral creation, Eureka, will not be spared"

Yeah.
Every time techbros say we are gatekeepers who “hoard wealth”.
We never needed all the money.
I personally want tiny cozy cave w books, art supplies & good PC. Where I can feel safe & stable. Have food, some clothes, sometimes treat myself. Not worry bills will ruin me.

Left X in 2024, wiped my acc bc staying there full time genuinely worsened my mental health. I post sometimes on insta/tmblr, bsky is my main.
Migration is exhausting, have to gain audience from scratch. Huge blow for small creator.
I wish I could build safe space for my art & just refer to it too.

Look into threads with mod name, should be plenty bc ppl are angry. Why framed it as if ppl are mad bsky banned non-con nsfw content while it wasn’t main point. Point was nsfw content is messy by nature & mod cannot define at whim if certain art should be banned. So all gets sweep, i.e. censorship.

Mastodon is incompatible with freelance artists bc we need to have a lot of eyes on our work. Yes, regular social media became a nightmare for that but we do not have much choice.

I probably won't do anything specific on Tennotober this year bc it always stressed me out too much, I'd prefer to continue my goal of being more consistent with art in general, although if there will be something interesting in the list, I may try.
