I’m in her district—I haven’t voted for her in many years but she effectively scares off all competitors. Her last primary competitor was ratf*cked before he ever had a chance.

Ash Kalra pulled his own bill from the vote last year, because even a democratic super majority in California was not going to pass it. Pretty despicable and get a reminder that our government treats us like something on the bottom of a shoe.

This move is primarily aimed to hurt Barbara Lee who is behind by a lot and could have gotten a boost from incumbency. it also rewards a fundraiser in Butler and "keeps" his promise to appoint a black woman but in the most disingenuous way possible.
