We've created a tool called the "Screen reader support look up tables" designed to help people quickly check how screen readers interpret HTML elements and attributes across multiple combinations of browser and screen reader.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

Avoid "functional absolutism" by spending time and energy on things that don't matter. Love this sentiment by @aaadaaam.com.

Bonus: A wonderful little `` web component in the header.

I think that was another fix by our team that was needed. But maybe connected? Was pretty specific to attr parameters tho iirc.

Will keep digging. My hunch is something changes on the TS-to-Node end.. but hard to track down.

Naw... enjoy your evening! Was hoping something obvious came to mind. We're happy to have found a fix, but it's that itchy feeling of "yeah, but why did that fix it!?"

@passle.dev @stuffbreaker.bsky.social hey, had a weird one with CEM analyzer where...

```ts
class FooComponent extends FASTElement {
\**\@attr
optionalFooAttr?: FooAttr;
}
```

...wouldn't write the optional Enum type values but upgrading Node v20 to v22 fixed it! Any clue why? DMs open.

Looks delicious! I’ll have to try it. But I probably have enough whiskey right now to get me to my 60s.

As far as infra creep, I like to set artificial limits/incentives for yourself (“after 10 blog posts/podcasts, I can update the site or buy new gear“).

Happy to chat more.

It’s definitely a muscle you have to build up. Start small and try to keep some regularity. 1 post/wk is A LOT of blog posts a year. 1 post every 2wks is a lot too.

Best advice I got was: take 10mins to write down all the ideas you’d like to write/talk about.

Then decide the pace you wanna go.

New blog post: Under-investment

A few weeks ago I made a comment on the socials about how surprising it is that there's so much stuff in the web platform that needs more attention than it gets. @davatron5000.bsky.social asked if I could expand on that, here's something

Imagine a world with no unread tabs.
A world where the daily mini and the big crossword are free.
A world where you get to meet and know the trans furries behind anime avatars of the open source projects that nearly every company in the world depends on.

That's the kind of world I want to live in.
