Another case of AI utterly failing to replace a human role adequately. But hey, it’s cheaper right? 🤷‍♂️

Full props to the server though. Great customer service in the end 👍

On Monday I went to a Popeye’s drive through, where my order was taken by an AI over the speaker. The voice was blatantly non-human.

It took my order, then said “is your order correct on the screen?” (the screen was blank). After an awkward pause it shat the bed and said “how can I help you today?”

I’ve only just seen what’s been going on with them. I kind of hope that the rest of us don’t get caught in the fallout, as none of us work directly for the company.
