I’m watching a long forgotten sitcom from 2000 called “The Trouble with Normal” and I was excited to see @mariabamford.bsky.social as the FBI agent love interest to Jon Cryer’s character.
This show has been a lot of fun and I wish it lasted more than 13 episodes.

They make Emmett out to be this stereotypical campy gay man, when he’s “normal”. Jack from Will & Grace was far more over the top than him.

But again I’m looking at this through a 2025 lens. Things were different in 2000.

I’m watching the original US version of Queer As Folk for the first time, and EVERYONE in the hospital scene was super chill when Brian (29) announced that Justin (the guy he just had sex with) was only 17.
