I just called my high school senior in absent. Reason: temporarily dead for tax purposes. Apparently I have sympathetic senioritis.

I am on my way back to the US from Sicily (both are home to me) and I’m stopped in Istanbul drinking a Turkish coffee. The value of this moment is not lost on me. The world is an incredible place.
