Today is a day to remember.
I'll never forget these guys.

Just a couple of the millions of kids who risked everything to fight against the kinds of unjust, cruel, rapacious, and oppressive politics that so much of the world is now re-embracing.

Cool/moody November morning.
Writing weather.
This one's in the headphones.

The grass was greener
The light was brighter
The taste was sweeter
The nights of wonder
With friends surrounded
The dawn mist glowing
The water flowing
The endless river
For ever and ever

Perfection.
And man, that bell…

“War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.”
― George Orwell, 1984

It's 2025.
Are we really this fucking stupid?

"Quietly powerful… a serious but accessible novel that earns its moments of hope. Asks hard questions about nationality, belonging, and the arbitrary nature of borders without offering easy answers. A moving book. Keep tissues handy for the final chapters." BookShelfie #histfic

"A masterful demonstration of storytelling. Mason's vivid writing style beautifully reinforces profound story arcs. I could easily visualize the layers of Bernhardt's and Joseph's lives. I felt their anxieties, losses, and tribulations." Makeda Cummings / Readers' Favorite #historicalfiction

Every kid knows that if you're going to lie, you don't simultaneously provide evidence that proves you're full of crap. Also, it's Colombia, dipshits.

Most of the stuff I created over 40+yrs in design was for others, my contributions known only to a few.

Seeing a product bearing my name on a store shelf is still weirdly anonymous, since it's >99.9% that no one there has a clue who I am. At the same time it's more…personal.
