Seeing a product bearing my name on a store shelf is still weirdly anonymous, since it's >99.9% that no one there has a clue who I am. At the same time it's more…personal.

I know this isn't the most important thought, but I always wonder how people can step into these jobs knowing they have no idea how to do them, but believing they'll succeed anyway. I think it means they don't think a job is the actual work so much as an appearance of working and they may be right.
