Voice acting some lesser Shakespeare plays to put kid to sleep. So far pretty effective — she’s bored!

This is an *inventive* use of a statute that originated in the Civil War - i.e, to punish actual secessionists.

One of the Great Texts in this discourse is Bernie Sanders's 2015 interview w Ezra Klein. Klein gives the globally minded progressive view that the US should be sharing its wealth with more migrants. Sanders says no, a nation has to increase quality of life for citizens. www.vox.com/2015/7/28/90...

Went back and read Comer's Hillary Clinton subpoena in the Epstein pseudo-probe and it is THIN.

1) She's married to Bill
2) Ghislane's nephew worked for her once
3) as SecState she maybe has "knowledge of efforts by the federal government to combat international sex trafficking operations."

Trumps' DHS says that America would be better off if every non-citizen got deported, even if they have legal status - plus, tens of millions of citizens from the "third world" should go.

More extreme (and racist) than the "mass deportations" than Trump ran on. Dems should have lots of answers.

One of the best finds in my Old Maron Episode journey. Starts w Marc reading Dan Nainan’s sociopathic email pitch, continues w Adam McKay explaining that he doesn’t want to make more explicitly political films bc he’d be marginalized like Michael Moore.

Think about the mindset, and the expectation of immunity, of someone who texts this to friends.

I feel bad for the woman who gave the NYPost what she thought was a respectful quote about a dead woman, only for it to be used for a “see she deserved it” front page.

If the election was held in February - post-impeachment, pre-COVID - Trump would have won. More importantly, his pollsters gave him numbers that said he was winning easily post-impeachment. And public polling (flawed) showed improving v Dems over the course of the trial. (Look at December-February.)

I'd figured that the "I Can't Breathe" experience changed Taibbi; he was very proud of that book and its rollout was wrecked by an unfair, hit-and-run MeToo attack. (Read @walkerbragman.bsky.social on that.)

Sure enough. www.pastemagazine.com/politics/mat...
