As you know, I love a stat. Been trying to work out how many F1 drivers have won their first F1 World Championship, then never win a race ever again.
So far I have Mike Hawthorn, Jody Scheckter, Jochen Rindt, Jacques Villeneuve, and Nico Rosberg.

So @virtualstatman.bsky.social - I've been trying to work out when we last had two drivers over 40 competing in Formula One.
I'm thinking 1994. Nigel Mansell, and bizarrely, Phillipe Alliot stepped in for McLaren at one single race, Hungary 94. He'd just turned 40 I believe.

So I was fascinated by Jackie Stewart's recent Tyrrell 006 drive and his helmet being signed by all the living F1 World Champions, that must have been some feat...but it got me thinking @virtualstatman.bsky.social - is SJS the oldest person to ever drive an official Formula One car at 85 years old?

So we have SIX rookies taking part in FP1. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they all perform, especially Drugovich, Beganovic and Iwasa.

So just wondering @virtualstatman.bsky.social how many drivers have essentially been "sacked" after 2 races?
I remember when I was young, Bernie dismissing Francois Hesnault pretty quickly at Brabham, think longer than just 2 races.
It's difficult to separate one-off drives, like Ollie Bearman.
