I agree. I've always said that I was able to change my accent so as to no longer scare posh people, but you can't change your skin colour or disability so the dynamic is always different.

A friend is Somali but can pass off as mixed race. He changed his name to a European sounding one. Big change!

Why is it that it's always my scrappiest ideas that end up getting the most traction? 😂 The first iteration was just me angry coding a script for myself one quiet day because I hated how migrations broke WordPress. It's now baked into wp-cli too.

He went to my kid's school and some days I wonder if the school has ever heard of him, but I think it's more that they're stuck with what the government insists on, because the wraparound stuff is amazing.

Obviously can't speak as a mum, but as a dad I was utterly exhausted and had constant head fog. Work was brutal. Didn't help that I'm the light sleeper so I dealt with most of the night feeds and comforting. Probably no surprise the eldest is super close to me!

I think even there, he has a world of followers who are doing so simply because he's validated as a popular figure rather than any assessment of his work.

But he is definitely one of the good guys.
