Nothing says "smash the political establishment" quite like begging the Prime Minister to put your mates in the unelected House of Lords.

I interviewed Klaus Zyciora, Changan's VP of Design, ex VW and previously responsible for the ID.Buzz. This made me instantly cool to my kids.

He was great and shared information on design process and the speed these Chinese giants work at.

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

I think that political players worldwide have realised that you only need to fool stupid people in order to gain power, and this playing out in the UK right now.
🧵 Reform UK are truly a bunch of 🤪as a political party….they’ve invited a known conspiracy theorist who’s currently under investigation by the GMC to speak to their conference next weekend…

So MAGA are all saying Pope Leo is a woke Pope and they don't like him. Yet he was voted for entirely by men. Men who have a lot of opinions about women's reproductive rights. And that's a hive of wokeness? Yeah right.

If a celebrity, deity or some other guru is used on scammy advertising then that means their followers have a higher chance of being credulous and prone to not applying critical thinking.

Citizen Kane showed how dangerous the newly super wealthy press barons of the thirties were, how they supported fascism, and how they descended into isolated madness in time.

I wonder if there are any parallels in today's world 🤔

This is just brilliant. The thing about well designed walkable, bikeable cities is they are better for everyone, however you get around. It doesn't need to be tribal.
Why Car YouTuber Matt Farah Is Fighting for Walkable Cities
The outspoken host of “The Smoking Tire” videos and podcasts has become an unlikely advocate for urban transportation policy reforms that limit car use.

I honestly think that in a few years time, experienced devs and their employers will make a LOT of money out of rescuing firms who really messed up with vibe coding by AIs.

Big accidental loss of data in Google Timeline got me. I know for some it's not a service they trust, but for me it's handy. Thankfully I'd already switched to local storage so it was easy to recover.

Running a workshop. Fairly even split of Macs and Windows machines, and of Android and iPhones.

So at lunchtime half the Windows and iPhone users are charging, and the MacBook and Android users all have something to be smug about.

I have an Android phone and MacBook so I'm doubleplus smug.

F*cking hell...
NEW: Photo released showing the treatment of 100s of people deported by Trump to El Salvador, in defiance of a federal judge ruling.

Remember, none of these individuals had any due process. They had no opportunity to contest any evidence, if is existed.

A grievous human rights violation.

Been properly poorly for the last two and a half weeks but starting to feel almost normal at last. Voice is still very broken, I'm still coughing, but the antibiotics and steroids seem to have cleared the worst of it.

Starting to get back some productivity and energy for day to day life now.
