They're also avoiding looking at the dangers to themselves. "The flu," and not just the COVID-19 variants, can and does wreck immune systems when it doesn't directly disable or kill people, and there are plenty of other things that could make people more vulnerable than they want to believe.

So would treating air. We didn't used to treat sewage. Pairing these is dangerously close to saying people in power have some responsibility to provide a safe environment. They've made it very clear that they will frustrate any measures to do so, sometimes by sending to cops the funds so allocated.

Hint: a killing tool designed for throughput and not for accuracy or precision has so many more bad uses than good ones that it's a REALLY bad idea to build it.

"Greens" as they exist in NZ are doing some extremely dumb shit, to include their opposition to nuclear energy, which just happens to be the only clean form humanity has devised thus far. It's also abundant, and so makes a post-scarcity anything even possible.

Good thing I'm in neither of those places.
I focus my efforts on doing mutual aid and building dual power in that process. It feels really great to make things happen instead of playing Lucy with the football via electoralism. That latter is exhausting and depressing.

You are under the misapprehension that I was for an embarrassingly large fraction of my life, and that is that substantive change for the better can occur through Proper Channels. Proper Channels are all finely tuned to prevent such change while grinding you to a paste. It's what they're there to do
