Not ashamed to say I used to book it down this hallway straight to the dinosaurs as a kid.

A color photo of the Parasaurolophus wall mount. Finding this and the black & white one you posted have been a stroke of luck, as they're the only two images of this part of the old dinosaur hall I've found.

Some additional photos from this part of the exhibit I've saved over the years.

Some of the old dinosaur displays had bronze figurines. I'd always assumed they were for the visually impaired to be able to understand what the dinosaurs looked like, which was a really cool concept. I always wondered what happened to them after their removal.

I went ahead and did some digging through my photos and found some additional images of the Herrerasaurus pack. I've been saving these images over the last decade or so, many from sites that no longer seem to turn up on Google search results. Thought I'd pass them along.

They're really outdated by today's standards, but I can't deny I have a soft spot for those old early 20th century displays. They feel more like an art display than educational, as if they're meant to invite the mind to ponder a time when monsters walked the planet.

Another image from this point in the exhibit. The jungle green walls and palm frond pattern on the carpeting definitely has an early 1990s feel to it.

Didn't find the picture of the Cabinet of Curiosities I thought I had, but I did find this picture of the cow in the dentist chair. I think I downloaded a lot of these off of a website Michael Spock used to have up.

Amazing sunset at work today.

That said, as a young Jurassic Park nut, these old Herrerasaurus scared me so much. They looked a lot like the Raptors from the movie, and the trio of life reconciliation made it seem like a pack of them was hunting me. In retrospect the coloration isn't too far off actually.

I do too. Ray Stevenson had such a presence on screen. Rory McCann has big shoes to fill... both metaphorically and literally. Here's the teaser pics of him from the last Star Wars celebration.

I love how this comment elicits both these reactions, and both reactions are 100% valid.

Always thought that one paired well with this one. Imagining a world where the aliens periodically check in on the Earth only to discover new horrors every time.

I laugh, but then accept that if I were doing the job, my autistic ass would probably lay them out exactly like this.

Hot take maybe, but Columbus era Hogwarts > Yates era Hogwarts. Columbus Hogwarts felt warm, tangible, and magical. Yates made Hogwarts feel uninviting, cavernous, and despondent.

Internet has ruined me. Mom asks how I say this name. I say "da bussy."

Anybody else catch that the guy in the bar who laughs at Charlie from the pilot makes an appearance in the "Bad With Us" song in S2E6?
