Only days ago it was 22 carat.
I want the next president to invite journalists to take as much gold as they can find only to reveal it's just stick on foam moulds and gold paint.

Envious. I once travelled to Liverpool to see one of Daniel's story shows and afterwards he did an impromptu wip gig for anyone with a theatre ticket. I can't remember the content now but I remember the laughter. It was heaven. I saw the finished show in Edinburgh and it was 90% different material.

This fits. All those futurists eventually reveal themselves to be advocates of eugenics and race science; Jenrick rarely speaks without endorsing bigotry and definitely believes he'd be a better conservative leader than Kemi.
He wouldn't.

Whenever I see Thiel struggling with the obvious ethical questions you would ask of a billionaire it makes me think he's different from Musk - somewhere behind those dead eyes there's an awareness that he might be the bad guy.

I walked through Newcastle Uni's Richardson Road flats for years and often thought what a pleasant place it would be for a new student to move to. But the university pulled them down and built higher, tightly packed repayments.

This sounds very George Osborne. By wealth creators he's not talking about the people who put in 40 hours a week on a Nissan production line.

Just found out about this. Paul Johnson has been a voice of reason to counter ministerial spin for so many years he will leave a yawning gap in my understanding of events when he departs.

Years ago I missed the opportunity to hear Tony Benn speak. Time was not on his side.
It's unlikely to happen but I would like to hear Dr Peter Weller speak - about his films, about anything.

Just read this. This is me. I'm not mentally flexible enough for things that have a steep (or shallow) learning curve. I used to be.

I don't go to see stand up or theatre or anything any more for reasons that I accept but be about this time I see things like this and regret that I'm not the person I was, the person who would see 5+ shows a day every day of the Edinburgh festival.

UKIP, Brexit, Reform - whatever it's calling itself today it is the Nigel Farage party and there's an inevitable cycle to its/his popularity. The more they are in positions of authority, the more they reveal themselves to be incompetent, unethical, and work-shy.
