No mystery - he's a basic cash for access guy - traveled the world ostensibly promoting British businesses while actually promoting himself and the people he could place you in the room with.

Dad’s books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending it’s their own fault. So I hope Kemi’s taking notes as well as reading the jokes.

Only days ago it was 22 carat.

I want the next president to invite journalists to take as much gold as they can find only to reveal it's just stick on foam moulds and gold paint.

“So what if he disagreed with you, he didn’t deserve to die”

But he thought I did.

This isn’t disagreement. It’s someone who was not only opposed to my existence but was called a good and faithful servant by the church for doing it.

I don’t have to mourn that. And asking me to is violence too.

If you’re a convicted felon and your character witness is your dear old friend, the convicted child sex trafficker and enabler of your other dear old friend, the most notorious raper of children in modern history, you’re definitely a total piece of shit.

So let me get this straight. The guy who wants to reward Russia for invading Ukraine, encouraged Israel to do more genociding in Gaza, and is using the military against his own citizens wants the Nobel Peace Prize?

Envious. I once travelled to Liverpool to see one of Daniel's story shows and afterwards he did an impromptu wip gig for anyone with a theatre ticket. I can't remember the content now but I remember the laughter. It was heaven. I saw the finished show in Edinburgh and it was 90% different material.

This fits. All those futurists eventually reveal themselves to be advocates of eugenics and race science; Jenrick rarely speaks without endorsing bigotry and definitely believes he'd be a better conservative leader than Kemi.

He wouldn't.

Been fantasising about going on a 3 month holiday to Thailand despite the fact that (1) I don't enjoy heat and it's 30+ °C every day there (2) I'm a mosquito magnet & the ones in Thailand will give you dengue fever (3) the beautifully clear seas are full of jellyfish larvae which sting on contact.

In September I'll be 58. I've been saying 'I'm 58' for a while, partly cos I'm never too sure, and it's always tripped off the tongue without incident. But now, thinking about it, it feels like a weight.

The TBI stress their plan for Gaza doesn't mention relocating the Palestinians; it simply advocates projects which have as their starting point, the relocation of Palestinians.
The Tony Blair Institute participated in a project to develop a postwar Gaza plan that envisaged kick-starting the enclave’s economy with a “Trump Riviera” and an “Elon Musk Smart Manufacturing Zone”.

I walked through Newcastle Uni's Richardson Road flats for years and often thought what a pleasant place it would be for a new student to move to. But the university pulled them down and built higher, tightly packed repayments.
