Graduated from 40 years as an appellate lawyer to being a gardener. Influenced by Voltaire: "Il faut cultiver notre jardin."
Wait. She smeared them when they couldn’t answer? If so add cowardice to her long list of faults.

So does he have the power to do that?
February 11, 2026 at 11:24 PM
To disobey manifestly ILLEGAL orders. They always leave that out.

Also Trump’s “Trump University” crimes as FL AG.

But something suggested a summer election, which might be fun, but really remote Dem win.

I see a gap between Michiganders and others on this thread. Hockey folks also understand. Detroit isn’t called “Hockeytown” for nothing.

Most of whose career was with the Red Wings. He was God in hockeytown.

I say insulting Gordie Howe is a loser in white-working class Detroit and suburbs. And also that siding with the Moron’s(sp?) who own the Ambassador Bridge won’t play well either.

And also that they’ll probably act like the DOJ folks, who have been amazing. And whose departures, as a bonus, have crippled the US Atty’s office in MN.
February 11, 2026 at 8:38 PM
I’m assuming they’re pre-Trump staff, as noted above.
February 11, 2026 at 8:31 PM
Yeah. If a Democrat won there they’d all be leaving.
February 11, 2026 at 8:21 PM
It’s the Duchy of FL. Seat won’t be filled any time soon.

Just thinking Same!
February 11, 2026 at 8:14 PM
Thanks! Answering a question I just asked elsewhere. Seemed unprecedented to me. But I remember the old days.

Would not a reasonable chair of the committee have threatened her with contempt for not answering questions after a while? Or will this continue when the Dems hold the majority of the committee?
February 11, 2026 at 7:51 PM
A car chase? Against gov’t policy.
February 11, 2026 at 6:49 PM
I think best examples have been DOJ lawyers quitting rather than violating the norms of their profession. (Not all lawyers are as reliable, and surely not all people pretending to collect data either — point is these gov’t guys are professionals.)

Not bad for a Senator

I remember studying ( many decades ago) participation rates in popular movements from French Revolution on, and about 10% committed participants was a mark of really successful movements. Don’t know if the learning has advanced.

Hmmmm …

For some reason they think this speechifying style of question makes them look good. But I think a guy like Dan Goldman, whom I don’t particularly like for other reasons, looks a lot better to people, because he goes after the facts. He had an exchange recently that was superb.

I am about to board and while I need an id to drive to the station, I don’t to get on the train. Helps to have a ticket.
