Well, I've migrated to the Blue place (finally) but still keeping Twitter (X) open (for now)...let's hope I can find some of my old followers (and people I follow).

What's interesting (to me at any rate) is the amount of pushback against the Trumpian insanity on Xitter over the past few days. The voices of the (far) right have been drowned (almost) by outrage...despite Elon effectively controlling the site...

Hope is a trickster. After the most shitty of weeks (starting Sunday when I had to put to sleep my beloved Milliecat and my sodding car failed its MOT), this morning, the offer of an interview with (what looks to be) a superb local weekly paper in Ireland.

I'm (pretty sure) that folks find it hard to understand why people like me grieve over the loss of a pet. It's quite simple really, I live on my own...Millie was my constant companion...I loved her. And now she's gone...

Grief. It's a (very) weird thing. I had to have my darling Milliecat put to sleep today...the vet came round, we (both) agreed it was the time...but it's the daft things...I remember her little paws, her little head, her purring...(like a little motor)...I know I did the right thing...but...balls.

It is with deep regret I have to announce that my beloved Milliecat has died. She fell into a coma this morning and the vet has just been round to help her sleep. She was the very best of cats and my constant companion for the past eight years. Her pic is in my bio.

One of my earliest childhood memories (aged six) was watching black and white TV in the living room and seeing Bobby Kennedy being cradled by onlookers after being shot. I remember as clearly as anything that TV report. What an *earth* he would have made of his son, I can't begin to imagine.
