That spot... where Clara is sleeping, is where my old girl Nanabootz used to sleep while I wrote. I write in a different chair now and at a desk, but Clara and Didid seem to intuit that having one of them there brings me peace. #cats #catsofbluesky #muse

My lap, and legs, extended on my recliner. Leaning on my right arm on the arm of the chair is Webster, an orange tabby short-haired Persian, looking up at me over his left shoulder. In my lap is Didi, turned away, but flopped - long haired Scottish fold with a calico tail and head, mostly white. Between my legs, squished in, is Sam Francisco, fast asleep all you see is his orange back and head and one closed eye. To the left of my left leg is Clara, a white round short-haire Persian with some orange spots and a calico tail. She is asleep against me, head pointing out over the side of the chair.

This guy has been glued to me since I brought him in from the porch and rescued him. He was abandoned by a family, possibly because he was outside and they couldn't find him, but still... this is Sam Francisco, elder statesman and lap warmer.

Stormageddon, Dark Lord of Awwww on the left is a black and gray tabby short-haired Persian cat with a white muzzle, collar, chest, legs, belly and feet. He is facing us with his right front paw extended. Beside him on his left is Yondu (Dewey) a black and tan tabby short-haired Persian cat, a little smaller, but more solid. He has a tan mustache and white chin and looks like Wilford Brimley He is lying against the back of the couch with his LEFT paw extneded. They are like one cat. And asleep.

@floregonian.com You haven't asked yet tonight but here you go... I'm revising this monster of a novel. It's so long the beginning feels a little new to me. I am absolutely in love with this story, and that is a very rare thing. Here is a cat who agrees.
Didi, a white Scottish fold without the glitch that makes the ears actually fold. she has a calico head and a fountain of calico tail. She is lying on my desk chair, looking up at me past the flannel shirt I keep in case it gets chilly. She is becoming the writing companion. Her, Webster, and Clara. Sam Francisco is my napping friend, and the one I protect (he's the old guy who was abandoned). This is our beauty, and she seems to know when to sit on my lap when I write.

Pants is a gray and white tuxedo cat. This is a head and shoulders shot,, lying on our kitchen tiled rloor. He is looking up at me with utter disappointment. Sam Francisco, a ginger tabby cat with medium length hair lying on a rug. He is hadlf alseep, on his left side, all four feet in front, and you can see his white beard. He is an elders statesman, an sleeps in my lap every second I'm in a chair where he can. We rescued him off our porch when he was abandoned and I love him very much.

Apropos of nothing... we bought (for some reason) a BOX of Sangria a while back. It does not slap. Tonight I put ice in a glas, poured it about 2/3 with this sangria, added B&B liquer, and topped with Ginger Ale. No idea what it is, but it is VERY good. I call it the FUCK 2025.

Tonight I completed the first big stage of paying @crossroadpress.bsky.social authors. Wrote part of a story collab with my daughter. Finished my 51st book of the year (reading). A cat is in my lap and trying to prevent this post. He failed. It's been okay. Day... not sucking.
