Arboretum at Flagstaff

This image was taken on the second day of the shooting period for the Plein Air Photography Festival, when I wasn’t feeling my best. It was a difficult day to get out, but I knew I had minimal time left to capture my shots.

I just purchased my first Canon digital camera and it's quite an upgrade from my current 10 year old Sony camera. I can't wait to get it next week! 😍❤️

This is one of my first photographs to be professionally printed and framed — and one of two pieces I submitted to the first annual Plein Air Photography Festival in Flagstaff.

This image — the moment I found it — felt like a gift.

Summer 2008. I was home from my first year of college, freshly exposed to a new environment, people, cultures, and a life away from home.

I drove down the desert highways & roads of the west valley looking for inspiration.
