I'm struggling to find the justification for disallowing the goal, other than it be deemed "unnaturally bigger". #lfc

Ahhh, the beauty of football, free from instant commercialisation ... oh.

Following that extraordinary snowbound bicycle kick in the Canadian Premier League final, quickly christened the "icicle kick", the CPL has applied to register the term as a trade mark across 17 different classes.

An interesting trade mark application from Leeds Utd, who are effectively seeking to trade mark the city's coat of arms for merchandise purposes. The Coat of Arms of Leeds and its design has been in existence longer than the football club, and Leeds does not have any prior registration of this type.

The one minute of stoppage time had elapsed by the time Xhaka had ambled over to the corner flag, and the referee still permitted the corner to be taken after a further nineteen seconds had elapsed. #Ifc

The sensible, not conceding anything before half-time reds are here again, and are still better than Sunderland. #lfc

It is still set at Christmas though, and Karl remains wholly fixated on avenging his brother's death, killing Dwayne among others in the final shootout before Al Powell steps in.

A lovely story, but ... how true is it? Is there more nuance not in the letter?

Adjuvant systemic therapy had been trialled/used for breast cancer treatment for over a decade by 1993, with proposals in the literature stemming from the mid-1970s. This is a review from 1983.

Stats on Google after 8 mins making me laugh. #lfc

Apparently, you're writing a whole different language I never knew I was fluent in, because I understood it perfectly.

Whatever his worth at the moment, it's difficult to argue the case that he should be selected over Robbo, where Robbo is available.

Football is a very silly game. Repeated errors in defence (Van Dijk, Konate) continue to be punished, and there doesn't appear to be any sign of those errors subsiding - meanwhile, no-one can score goals. Arne Slot is, for the first time I think, in trouble. #lfc

Said partly in jest - PSV have got #lfc exactly where they want them.

From Michael Crick's book on his days as a trader.

FIFA, meanwhile, has applied to register this trade mark across a range of classes. There's no supplementary information regarding the application, but judging by the classes as well as the style, it's presumably a mascot for a tournament.

Perhaps it's because he's credibly accused of just as if not worse as an adult, @newsagents.bsky.social. Have you considered talking to Alan Sked?

Dearly beloved
We are gathered here today to get through this thing called life
Electric word, life
It means forever and that's a mighty long time
But I'm here to tell you there's something else
The afterworld

There's absolutely no doubt that Ndoye was in an offside position. VAR presumably satisfied he wasn't interfering / in line of sight.

Do I understand this compared to the #lfc disallowed goal against Man City? Not really.

So Heatherwick has designed a tambourine for Birmingham City.

I await Kuennsberg reporting that Dominic Cummings "materially contributed to the toxic and sexist workplace culture at the heart of the UK government", and "was a destabilising influence [who] contributed significantly to a culture of fear, mutual suspicion and distrust".

We really don't need to go back to Nigel Farage's school days for evidence of him being a far-right racist. The original (co-)founder of UKIP, Professor Alan Sked, was more than happy to go on the record about him.

Sitting in a cafe in Paris (Shin, 10e) and the soundtrack has included The Sundays, Cocteau Twins, and My Bloody Valentine, and frankly I'm not inclined to move at all.

If - and it's an if - #lfc's complaint results in PGMOL acknowledging that they didn't adhere to their (presumably obligatory) VAR processes, processes that were largely put in place owing to VAR failings coincidentally against the same club, it only further legitimises the idea of VAR's abolition.

Fabulous goal. And came from an offence where Mo Salah might not have been offside and would have been an #lfc corner.
November 9, 2025 at 6:01 PM
Here is Bernardo Silva's position for a goal which was awarded last season, for the same offence for which Andy Robertson was penalised. The referee was the same as today.
November 9, 2025 at 5:53 PM
The simple question for the officials is whether Robertson - who is an offside position - interferes with the goalkeeper by preventing him from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing his line of vision. #lfc
