...but yeah, with Bowie I feel there's definitely a thing that everyone knows Ziggy Stardust and we all like that song off that advert - y'know the one - but the majority of people aren't going to have stacks of Bowie records in their collection. It just feels like they should.

...or maybe Nine Inch Nails, or some mad rave stuff, I don't know. I do know that as a generic grunger of the period I was dancing to Oasis in dingy basement bars with five other people. Of course 'Britpop' did hit the mainstream hard as time went by...
