There's really just one Canadian who gets to talk directly to Donald Trump.

How he goes about it is certainly up for debate and criticism, but I have a hard time seeing the value of having him play any role other than Good Cop.

I agree with the nyger (nyjer? I dunno) seeds being of no interest to squirrels. The problem I’ve had is that birds don’t seem to care for them, either. Twice I’ve filled feeders with nyjer and the seeds sat there till they rotted.

Novo Nordisk, which makes Ozempic and Wegovy, wants Health Canada to stop online pharmacies from selling to foreigners.

Americans MIGHT want to buy generic semaglutide drugs that compete with Novo Nordisk's when generics become legal here soon, years before the U.S.

Prime Minister Mark Carney wants the Alto high-speed rail line under construction in four years, as a nation-building project that will also have a huge appetite for Canadian materials.

One hiccup: If Canadian companies want to supply the rails, they'll have to be quick. thelogic.co/news/alto-hi...
Alto wants piles of Canadian steel to keep high-speed rail on track - The Logic
The Crown-owned builder of the Quebec City-Toronto line needs 300,000 tonnes for tracks alone—but decades of U.S. integration might complicate things

Norman Schwarzkopf, whatever his other qualities, was not a toweringly athletic general.

We've now told two young students that they have to do it because their teachers have said so, but there's just no such thing as a good paragraph that's 11 sentences long except as a stunt.

I remember reading one of the Succession showrunners noting that a plot-point well they went to frequently was obstacles that wealth COULDN'T get you out of. Like Kendall Roy's board coup being stymied because he's stuck in traffic on the way there.

Defence companies selling to Canada have many billions of dollars of outstanding obligations to Canadian business and as the Carney government revitalizes the military, expect the figure to shoot skyward.

The policy meant to make them spend here is ... not great.
