Oregon National Guard could be called upon by their governor to stand with protesters and face off against the California National Guard called up by Trump over Newsom’s objections.

Will governors direct their forces to arrest ICE?

Newsom should send California Highway Patrol to Oregon to protect the protesters and ensure their constitutional rights of speech and assembly.

Oh, and he has the power to hold California Guard troops to account for any unlawful action including following unlawful orders.

Nonetheless, no less than four young children were zip-tied together in the Chicago raid and taken to detention pending entry into the foster care system against the wishes of loving, caring parents.

I guess that kid’s lucky. But his picture is everywhere as a poster child of ICE raids.

Federal employees do not get UIB. They get a special form of benefits that the federal government pays, UCFE, on the assumption that there’s federal reimbursement made to the state unemployment office. Feds don’t pay into state UI policies like civilian employers do.

They ain’t gonna just take it. Plan for repression. Expect arrests, surveillance, infiltration, and misinformation. Train legal observers, document events, develop security culture (encryption, vetting, backup systems).
