You have no idea if a “better-suited” candidate (in your view/assumption) would have performed better or worse than Aftyn. Maybe she gained more votes because she actually stood for something. Maybe a more centrist candidate would have been beaten by a larger margin. You simply don’t know.

This is what stood out to me during the whole interview with Miller: she is not smart enough to have held the positions that she has held. Maybe she was having some trouble articulating but come on…you accepted the invite, you must have thought about things and how to phrase stuff at least.

This is my opinion too, but I’m hesitant to blame Hollywood creators entirely. The mass audience (in general) is less discerning; they really enjoy sloppy and/or lazy entertainment. “I don’t go to the movies to think” (for example).
