The DJ playing “fresh Prince of Bel Air” during a second set changeover in Brussels Final is peak ATP. #carryon

@timmiller.bsky.social Listened to you and Kristol and now I feel bad. If it was the Oct 1989 speech in PDX, let him know I’m sorry. We were kind of loud and irritating. Little did we know 35 years later we’d be pining for the normalcy of Quayle.

Notice what city never gets mentioned anymore as one of the evil dens of liberal dystopia…San Francisco elected a white man to replace the Black woman as Mayor and voila!!
This is called martial law.

As un-American as it gets.

Shameful that some GOP governors are going along with it.

Lots of interesting stuff in this piece about the top levels of international junior tennis.
They're the best juniors in the world, Grand Slam champions, World No.1, already dreaming big: how does that feel? How does that work? Is it too much too soon? Tagger, Klugman, Ivanov, Kovackova: Get a glimpse of what the journey looks like. tennissweetspot.substack.com/p/kids-these...

The Vice President of the United States of America went on national tv to defend the administration, and when fairly challenged, his response was basically “not the same! We have smart president and the rest were dumb dumbs.”

And the DC press says “ahhhh, yes sir, good point.”

Those 5-3 games to serve out the set so far in 2 & 3 are the focal points of this match.

I see Meta is furiously promoting the totally irrelevant @axios.com article about Abrego Garcia.

Carrying water for Stephen Miller is a choice, I guess.

Stugotz was right?!
MORAN: Even some people who voted for you are saying, 'I didn't sign up for this.' So how do you answer those concerns?

TRUMP: Well, they did sign up for it actually

Speaking of fraud and waste, can we ask the DNC and candidates for our donations back. We sent them on the pretext that they would fight for us.

The United States needs a massive educational campaign on the federal government, its function and why it’s an integral factor in our way of life.

Ex: a simple 10 minute video mash-up of the state of the environment and pollution levels in the 1970s compared to now.

“GOVERNMENT DID THAT”

As long as Education is on today’s menu, if there is any hope of a peaceful future, information/media literacy needs to be as much a part of the curricula as traditional subjects. We must teach young people from the jump how to think critically and navigate this hellscape.

For Democrats in Congress worried about re-election, go scorched earth because you have 3 likely scenarios:

1. We won’t have an election
2. We’ll have an “election” and you’ll get 4% of the vote somehow
3. We’ll have a free and fair election and you’ll lose the primary by 10 points.

Choose wisely.

Wondering if Senator Slotkin will be eager to invoke Ronald Reagan when they start hacking away at the Dept. of Education. “The wise old sage was right again…”

One of the reasons many Americans have failed to grasp the existential stakes of our political crisis is because the Democratic Party isn’t acting as if we’re in a crisis.

They act as if Mitt Romney is president and they have issues with his budget proposal.

To all my Catholic Cuban friends and family: instead of the usual alcohol or chocolate, during this year’s season of Lent, please consider permanently giving up the Republican Party. It’s also great for your health!

American individualism and selfishness is never on brighter display than after a snowfall. People leaving a literally 6 inch strip of ice on the sidewalk because it’s “not yours” is so on brand.

@brianstelter.bsky.social No comment on Welker’s inability to hold Trump to even a modicum of truth? For all the self-reflective hand-wringing after the election in the media, the very first interview proved the media is incapable of properly covering Trump. It’s disappointing to say the least.

@jessicasmetana.bsky.social For goodness sakes Jess, tell Mike that Mario lost one game single-handedly EACH YEAR he was at Oregon. By the end of his tenure, I would pace when we were up by 14 with 2:30 to play, knowing Mario was in control.
