WW created this in the ‘30s, so around the same period Muir undertook his journey. Maybe the overlap was an intentional linking of two different interpretations of a time of change?

Looking at the cover blurb, I always smile at the tendency of American’s to qualify places with the country, just in case a resident of one of the 8 Edinburgh’s (or 8 Aberdeens or surprisingly, 21 Glasgows) get confused.
