Scottish Government has been confirmed as high investment grade, by two global credit rating agencies.

This matches the UK and better than Spain, Italy and Japan.

First Minister John Swinney will announce next steps for our government’s Bonds programme tomorrow.

Troop of 5.

Among the many who successfully recognised the pumpkin as being the Pokémon Gengar.

No, I’ve not got a clue what a Gengar is, but the kids insisted.

11 miles done! #Kiltwalk

And a huge #thankyou to everyone who sponsored Lorcán, over £1,000 raised for the Catherine McEwan Foundation. They do good work helping folk with Crohn’s, not least kids and young people with the condition.

And Lorcán’s fundraiser has broken the £1,000 mark!!

Repaired a leaking isolation valve to the loo this evening.

The instructions on the packet were a real vote of confidence…

The heron is back in the Pilrig allotments. Making a visit to a wee pond which is home to the occasional frog.

Latest in the ‘what is happening in Pilrig Park’ news.

Woman tumbling up and down on a big ribbon/length of fabric from the poplar tree. The grey bit is her top half, the black bits are the legs. Despite a swift spin and tumble she does not appear to have whack her head as yet.

In fairness I’ve got it wrong, it’s not a couple of lads. It’s a man and a woman.

Still two fire swords though.

La Belle Adventure is a lovely wee graphic novel/comics bookshop on Leith Walk. Has a combination of French-language books, European books translated into English, and a wee section of Scottish prints.

Also has a wee gallery through the back.

Anyone know why there is a wee earth mover digging in the centre of the pitch next to the school in Pilrig Park at 10:40pm on a Thursday night?

A very pressing drainage issue?

Sudden discovery of a pirate treasure map?

I think the best anti-joke is this from the late, great, Barry Cryer about a guy who walked into a bar and half his head was an orange.
