For an academic, he sure is an idiot. Here's a quick little bit of advice: never put all of your work in one basket and for GOD sake, make backups. After that, make a backup of that back up -store it off site. Don't be this guy. If you have some brilliant recant, don't @ me. I don't care to hear it.
