More like Aaron Glenn is skinning Darnold alive, rendering Flores' defense absolutely exhausted.
January 7, 2025 at 6:08 AM
Only in the second half after they were gassed because their offense allowed them no rest.
January 7, 2025 at 6:06 AM
I think they should release Darnold. They'll likely be worse next year. Flores needs to leave before his value drops. If no HC offer is made, he should make a lateral move.

And let's not forget how KO made bozo decisions to go on 4th. Not learning from the previous failures. Take those should have been 6 points, the safety that wasn't called (Lions are the NFL's darling in the NFC), the missed FG, we'd have a different ball game. If Gink had made the pick 6....

He'll soon be a QB2 or QB3.
The Flores defense was brilliant but by the end of the first half they were completely gassed since Aaron Glenn's defense rendered Sam Darnold useless and they got no rest. After that they were often just a touch too late. A step too slow. Not their fault.

My take? Sam Darnold is not a play-off caliber QB. He can't have success without lots of time to make reads, nor can he handle being hurried or the pressure of high-stakes games. He came unglued early with his panicked back-pedal/near safety. Only the worst of rookie QBs do that.

I think if Flo isn't hired as a HC, he should leave Minnesota for a lateral move as DC. He'll work w/ another franchise, turn their defense around, build contacts, learn from more people - build his resume and network. He should call Ben Johnson and ask if he'll hold the spot for him. !!!

Biggest problem, beyond Tua, is the owner and the GM.
January 7, 2025 at 5:38 AM
Ross chose Tua and Grier over Flo. Big mistake. I walked the day they fired him. No regrets. McDaniel is being retained because he toes the line. He and Uncle Tom Grier are spineless.

Man built a winning team, front office stacked it with WR talent, and McDaniel and Tua squandered it, even as the Jets and Patriots ships sank and the Miami schedule became the easiest in the league.

Good to see not everyone drank the Kool-aid

Lafleur most undervalued coach out there. Should get more coverage by analysts and press. He's not attention seeking. Never seen a head coach sit on a water cooler in-game to figure out a defense and make adjustments! He's not tier.

Starting to remind me of Miami post Shula.

2 out of 3 ain't bad? Must be Pack fan?
January 5, 2025 at 5:07 AM
Go, Pack, GO! Get ready.

If their roster depth and talent were equal, I would put money on Flo. No matter how good the scheme, it's up to players to execute. Whichever team make the least mistakes will win. Need takeaways.

Only one on that list can turn it around - Flores. Belichick not leaving UNC.
January 5, 2025 at 4:48 AM
Maybe 3 years ago, that was the case. Today he is a different guy. And Tua is not a franchise QB. He played miserably. I was a Miami Dolphins fan. I saw it all.
January 5, 2025 at 4:43 AM
I plan to be there.
January 4, 2025 at 7:05 AM
I have loved him longer. I was a Dolphins fan. Until they fired him.

To see how "horrible" a person he is, watch the.mic'd up footage from the Packers game.
January 4, 2025 at 6:54 AM
He is now, 3 years later, Brian Flores 2.0
