Planner, but not a dick about it. Ex-architectural historian. Married gay with a dog. Play lots of wispy indie video games. Not sure how I'll use this. Seattle (but Portland, London and Honolulu a lot.) Neurodivergent and starting to lean into it
I made an Old Fashioned-like drink today using rye instead of bourbon and maple syrup instead of simple syrup and a pinch of salt and orange twist. It ended up being decent.

Need to dial in the portions but it's alright.

On to Tacoma instead. It's just a regular rickety local seeming bus but it has a luggage rack and lights like a train.

Speaking at a the Places conference in Gig Harbor and I don't drive. So, I guess I am liveskeeting my 3 hour 3 bus oddeseg from Seattle. There is a direct(ish) bus but only 3x and at night

I am really stoked to be talking about Seattle's Disability Activism Historic Context study at the next NAPC webinar on the 25th. I am even more excited to learn about the other context study projects.

I just got back from Japan, and I ran into Tadao Ando in Osaka mostly by accident.

This unassuming building is where DOS was born.

In 1980, Tim Paterson created QDOS here, which Microsoft bought and turned into MS-DOS—the foundation for Windows which powered 76% of the world's computers. Added it to the historic places inventory. #techhistory #history #historicpreservation

Never noticed the cute little details on this building in Mo'ili'ili. I've missed these urban Honolulu bits and bobs. Sad, the tile seems to have been painted out and the decorative screen got an ac put in it.

This church is still around. It caught my eye last I was up there.

The slides are a nice little slice of 70s Seattle life.

Field research slides from a 1980 low income housing project Frank Gehry and asooc. designerld in Seattle. Stumbled across this when I was looking for something else. The project, Loyal Heights Manor is still around I think.
