I am exploring something called Dolby Atmos which means listening to this for the first time in many years. Alongside a Christmas cash in.

For some reason I'm only just getting into gish. Only 34 years after it was released.

An algorithm suggestion I'd never heard of but a nice one. She's green: Chrysalis.

Not normally a big fan of wading through hours of archive releases but there are some exceptions. Now I'm old enough for the anthology archive to be re-released I think it needs a new word for taking you back 30 years to a release that took you back 30 years.

One time you were a glowing young ruffian. Oh my god, it was a million years ago.

Taking some comfort with this classic today. Bill Ryder Jones, Yawn

Today's mince pie is Sainsbury's entry level version. Edges out the co op in store bakery one from yesterday.

Apart from achtung baby I'm not a big U2 fan. But the algorithms suggested Joshua Tree so I revisited for the first time in 30 years. Ignoring the front loaded singles I'd forgotten how the rest was blues and Americana tinged. Classic album may be a classic after all shock.

I've gone a bit early with the mince pies. Although it's never too early for them.

A bit of sparklehorse.

This might be the only album I'll ever need. It still doesn't end well for the chicken man on this version.

Happy Halloween.

I'm going in. I wonder if things will work out better for the chicken man, Johnny 99 and Frank Roberts this time around.

I am unwell so have taken to bed with a winged victory for the sullen.

I quite like this. Normally not my thing but a bit gothy and owes a big debt to Shakespeare's sister. Heartworms glutton for punishment.

Belly: bees. A fine collection of B sides. Ask your parents.

Getting in the belly mood.

Kids table bright eyes. A bit bright eyes by numbers. Perhaps he's written too many songs at this point. Always worth checking out though.

Well this was better than expected and an album I'd not listened to before. Smashing pumpkins: Machina

On the excellent Newdad again today.

Oh Johnny Marr love album too today. As I saw Johnny live this summer at the request of the teen I'm giving this a spin.

Meetings finished for the day so time to give this a background listen for the rest of the afternoon. Newdad: Altar

I'm still not getting this one, it all sounds a bit samey until the last track. I liked auto fiction a lot and it's in the same vein but this maybe needs a few more goes. I always revert back to suede, dog man star and sci-fi lullabies anyway.
