I think a generation is optimistic. The world will move on without the US and will need hard evidence that they can be trusted again. Canada might never forgive the US for Trump.

I think it will take a very long time for America to recover from Trump being president. Americans are going to have to do some very serious soul searching about what kind of nation they want to be. The world will need to see serious change happening before trusting the US again.

You are right. It is much deeper than a trade dispute. It is also more than turning the US into a fascist rogue nation. It is also about the fact he threatened to go to war with Canada, Mexico and anyone else who does not bend to his will.

The largest US protest against Trump was 7 million. All that says is that the other 333 million do not care. Trump and his supporters have damaged long standing trade and defence relationships with other countries. That damage might never be repaired.

Actually, the USA has been damaged beyond repair. Trump and his supporters might pay. However the people who voted for him and believed his lies will still be there. The international community will never trust the US again.

European leaders should have risen to the challenge in 2022. Better yet the nations that signed the Budapest Memorandum should have honoured the commitments they made.

Not just in America. All conservative politicians everywhere have the same mindset. In the end they are just using political office to enrich themselves at everyone else's expense. A career option for people too useless for anything else.

After all the years I have listened to right wing politicians I have reached the conclusion is that they lack compassion, intelligence and common sense. They allowed the far right to dictate policy and drag them further to the right. Maybe they should have made better choices.

Simple solution. Canadians should never visit Florida again..ever. Even easier...do not travel to the USA.

This is exactly what they voted for. Everyone knew what Trump was like before they voted for him in 2016. They saw what he was like as President for 4 years and they elected him again. Needs to be remembered it is also the corrupt members of Congress and his cabinet. They voted for all of it.

More atheists are more Christian than most Christians. Probabky because more atheists are better educated and have higher moral values.

Nobody should be chasing Trump or having anything to do with America ever again. Need to remember Trump isn't the problem. The real problem is all those who still support him. I will make it easy....America = Russia but worse...much worse.

Exactly right. The only thing I have seen are a couple of protests where a few million showed up to protest. If Americans think the regime is going to care about the opinions of 7 million protesters in a country of 340 million they are delusional and need to wake up.

TBH I don't think that will happen. Americans might have the resources to change things and do better. What they lack is the will in large enough numbers to actually do anything about it.

He is right. America can never be trusted again...ever. A morally bankrupt and corrupt nation fueled by greed and poverty. Supported by those pretending to be "good Christians". The world would be a better place if America and Russia ceased to exist.

Trump plus all of his cabinet and the members of Congress who still support him should all be removed from office. All their assets should be taken. They along with all the preachers who pushed people to support him should all be executed for treason.

This is the core problem with America. Their idea that they have a god given right to force others to bend to their will and do as they command. Anericans need to take a long hard look at what their country has become. Plus how they have created the mess they now find themselves in.

America always acts in it's own interests. When has it ever acted in someone else's interests? It has abandonded it's NATO allies, trashed long standing relationships. The world is moving on and building new trade relationships and alliances without the US. They will have to go alone.

Sorry, but I do not think it can be. It is not just his behaviour. It is also that in a nation of 340 million only 7 mlllion could be bothered to protest against what is happening. It tells the world the rest don't care about their country. Speaks volumes about America.
