Hi, I'm D! He/Him, Pan/Ace. LV. 32, Canadian, Artist/Writer (#StitchTriverse).
Motley media maniac. Loves Lilo & Stitch, TWST + more. Also dabbles in swanky card games.
Autistic. Nostalgic. Friendly.
Yeah, other than maybe a couple episodes on YouTube, it's somewhat lost media ATM. Certainly wouldn't be the first time a YTV show ended up in that row- for example, I'm still trying to find clips of "Twisteeria", with only memories of the shorts airing between shows as a guide, LOL!

Ryan Larkin too, one of the most prolific animators of his time until the unfortunate luck that befell him! And Ryan's efforts was enough to get the Academy to notice, even if Ward Kimball won the Oscar over "Walking". Some veeeery notable clientele under the NFB, to be sure! ✨

While on the subject too, the quote of Ed saying "Canadians are weird!" back on Cartoon Network's "Ed, Edd and Eddy" holds more water than you think. Lord help if you're adding most things by the National Film Board of Canada to this too, then you're only further fueling a bizarrist's wonderland~ 😆

I miss the days when you'd flick on a set, have Much playing music videos, switch to YTV and be greeted to an oddball new show or even the bizarrist world of TVOntario (or regional equivalents like SCN or Access). The pipe dream's to be profound and show viewers Canada is just that. What a world~ ✨

And the real shame of it is, I feel like because Canada's become such a production hub for general cable/streaming TV by big players like WB and Paramount, it let our media landscape languish... that's to say nothing about the monopolies who own most of the networks, but that's another story.

It's admittedly, something that I feel is missing from current airwaves, but yet, irreplaceable to their olden era. I think a lot of older Canadian sci-fi, things like "Galidor" (even thought that one was weird) "2030 C.E" or "Orphan Black" (pre-Echoes). Profound enough to exist despite the risk~

Canon CAN be folded in new ways, after all- part of the reason I'm really excited for the First Light game is this bending of canon: they set the game before Bond got his "license to kill", so it feels better. The question is, why can't the next movie do similar? Or even wipe the slate anew? 🤔✨

(I also, real talk, get gleeful at the thought of more Yoji Shinkawa art on Magic cards and a DS Secret Lair set would be a fun way of doing so. That may be a bit selfish, but his artwork is just SO cool~ 😆)

(That's if you can take seeing Troy Baker on a Magic card... or, of course, Norman Reedus on ANOTHER one (the Walking Dead crossover's Daryl was the first time he appeared on a MTG card). But that also does dabble into your mileage with Universes Beyond too and I know well that's case-by-case~)

That's not to say I didn't enjoy the picks WOTC and Sony did- Horizon, Uncharted, Ghost of Tsushima and even TLOU and GoW were great picks! I just think DS would have been fun too, I could imagine some Reanimator-style deck builds of a Sam Porter Bridges. Or heck, Chaos through a Higgs Monaghan~ 🌊

I don't know how you ACE casual fashion so much, like, honestly, every time you draw "Amphibia" characters with casual wears, it's on point~! 🥺✨💗

David Lynch is one I don't think I'll ever really be over, but Rutger, I remember that year when he passed. He was actually going to be a guest at that year's FanExpo in Toronto and when the news broke, it was... quite numbing to say the least.

Also, John Larkin deserved a longer life, man. 😭
