As for the question: in my thesis, the celebration is special itself. It’s one of the few things people and society remembered from before the nuclear war and fallout.
Savitri, celebrating her 90th at the beginning of the thesis, is presented with something “useful”, which for her is a cane.

Very political intrigue heavy, hopefully low/no romance. Could use more Horse Companion imo. My fiance is pretty good about picking for me so I trust in her. It’s very good so far!

One of the POV’s, and not one I expected, is in a “You” format. I’m not usually a fan but honestly? I’m still engaged and find the difference between her and Imelda/Adrian’s POV to be a really interesting and intriguing decision

Three POVS, two are women and one man. Each in differing social classes and political leanings meeting in a dangerous Empire-wide Race of Phoenix Horses (which are cool af btw). Currently rooting for Imelda.
