Harm Reduction, Coffee, and maybe a bit of politics
I couldn't have coffee until 11 today because I had a dentist appointment and now I'm dying and chugging coffee

Anyways the only way to make it thru life rn is to have a little bit of port before bed every night. Also there's cheese.

There are a number of FN communities who have declared a state of emergency related to the toxic drug crisis. Now Homalco has declared. Unfortunately, surveillance and punitive measures are not the solution to the problem. Harm reduction, safe supply, access to culturally safe treatment is necessary

Canada does have fentanyl labs but it is not being exported to the US so the US can stay out of it. This is the worst reporting I've ever heard
Kevin Hassett suggests Canadian authorities are covering up major fentanyl operations: "I can tell you that in the situation room I've seen photographs of fentanyl labs in Canada that the law enforcement folks were leaving alone. Canada's got a big drug problem."

I know there is a LOT happening in the world but right now Ontario is facing the closure of 6 SCS sites which WILL result in increased deaths.

2. This "leaked report" is one buller point in a PowerPoint slide with no evidence cited

3. There remains no evidence that the pills being diverted come from safer supply programs, these drugs are also prescribed post surgery
So it seems the media has a renewed interest in safer supply diversion. Here are my unrequited thoughts:
1. If diversion is happening it means that we are not prescribing the right drugs to the people that need them. The system needs to be bolstered to meet the need

I apologise to everyone who follows this account for investment advice and who lost money due to my recent post “invest all your money in hamburgers”. It turns out I was just hungry

Hey Canadians, do we see what is happening in the US? Let's not forget every time Pierre polievre has aligned himself with that orange turd and the saluting boss of swasticars. That is who he believes is doing the right thing.

I am sick and tired of Pierre Polievre saying he won't fund SCS's and calling them drug dens. They are health services (a provincial jurisdiction in case he forgot) and are vital to keeping people alive. I'm tired of seeing people die unnecessarily. Please rely on common sense and experts.
