This just came up in my living room tonight! Some bad TV had a lot of stab wounds, like 30-50 or so.

I have this feeling of stepping off a stair into the air with my brain sometimes, which I first really noticed after years of programming even with tools like vim where search is a keystroke away - but when not using the computer. Like searching for a word, there's a phantom "hit the / key" impulse.

I've had friends that inject super glue into cracked screens trying to squeeze more life out of an old phone. Maybe you can encourage your dad to get the screen repaired?
