Providing a chance at a stable planet for our children is kitsch now, they must be reasonable with their demands. 🙃

Greta Thunberg has more courage & moral clarity than any world leader I have ever seen.

Bar none.

Period.

That tiny 22 year old is often accused of being annoying, but what she is, is unyielding to moral ambiguity. If it’s wrong, she says so until someone listens.

She deserves the Nobel Prize

I seriously hope Biden saying “Welcome Home” and inviting Trump to sit by the fire is never forgotten.

One of the most singularly insane moments in the history of human civilization.

The gruel for the propaganda is getting pretty thin & desperate & my children don't have the leisure of allowing them to destroy their future.

environmental liabilities that we've allowed to accumulate to facilitate current sludge production to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars or that the world they fantasize about where people will be burning sludge in 50 years never mind 130 years doesn't exist.
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
So one of the things sludge propagandists, like to toss around is this idea that Alberta's reserves are worth 9 TRILLION DOLLARS MWHA HA HA! Like all good propagandists they don't tell you the details, like that's 130 years of extraction or the fact that we've already got
Screen shot of Alberta oilsands propagandist saying Alberta's oil reserves are worth $9 trillion.

If Carney, the conspiracy theorist anti-vaxer, or the ex mayor in Alberta are really going to allow our coastlines to be destroyed to humor the dying gasps of a world destroying industry, no one in Canada that cares about this country should support them.

If you're talking about building 1800s technology sludge pipelines in this world, your living in a reality that no longer exists.
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
I don't think people fully understand how remarkable this is. In 2024 China was installing the equivalent of five large nuclear power plants worth of wind and solar every single week. Now look at 2025.
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
There are dozens of charts just like this one across the vast swaths of transportation & energy. If you're living in an 1800s technology pipeline world, you're living in a delusion.
China installed more than twice as much solar capacity in the first half of 2025 as the rest of the world combined
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
These guys (Swiss RE) have been putting out accurate models for quite a while. They know what they're doing.
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
If there was ever a time for Canada to go hard into the new world, that time is now. We shouldn't be wasting precious years flattering fascist felons & catering to anti-vaxer contrail believing Premiers

China is doubling output of many critical things yearly. They are producing more than the US has ever in a single year. It took us 5 years of actual construction & 12 years in total to build our last 1800’s tech pipeline. What do you imagine the world is going to look like in 10 years?
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
People that want to build infrastructure for an 1800's technology that is being replaced faster than that technology replaced horse & buggy are not only delusional, they are dangerous. We need a lot more than elbow dancing.
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
China is revolutionizing the world faster than statisticians can even keep up with & Canada is caught up trying to whisper sweet nothings to a fascist felon in failed hopes that he will give us a trade deal with a crumbling empire based on 1800's technology. Elbow dancing isn't going to be enough.
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
It's pretty amazing that the felon & his fifth column in Canada both want expanded fossil fuel production and magically that's a priority.
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
walk & chew bubble gum at the same time. That is assuming that this is actually a priority, which I don't believe in the slightest.
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
It's total BS that Carney/Canada can't tackle climate change & the US fascist movement at the same time. If a bumbling felon can bring in fascism, destroy decades of work on climate & the environment, destroy hundreds of years of medical Science all at the same time, we'd better figure out how to

trigger warning — video shows girl being hit, then getting up

Hey #yyc #Calgary: know this a**hole? Mowed down a girl in a crosswalk, yelled at her, then took off 🤬. Call the RCMP if you do.

Blah, blah, blah typo's, but whatever. Those that actual give a shit will get the info I'm trying to share.

Here I've re-created a post I've made a few times before explaining this.

dcrinyyc.bsky.social
Might as well recreate a post I made here since now even the progressives in Alberta are on the pipeline for FrEeDoM bandwagon. First let me start by explaining how thick bitumen is. It's a semi-solid at normal temps, think something close to thick chunky peanut butter. It's not easy to pump this
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
But no worries because without, we simply aren't shipping this sludge. So when we are talking about building new pipelines for FrEeDoM, we should consider that there is no way to do that without the cooperation & compensation of the good ol USA.
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
Well how much could this be? Roughly it's 70/30 bitumen to condensate(some variance). Well how much are we talking about here bob? LOTS! The number one refined fuel import into Canada level of lots.
one-neb.gc.ca/en/data-anal...
Chart showing the amount of refined product imports into Canada. 100% of the imports in Alberta are condensate because we make our own gas.
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
that used to have almost no market in the USA (think something the consistency of naphtha), but Alberta came knocking. Alberta buy VAST quantities of this to allow our bitumen to flow down pipelines. This blend is called dilbit. Without it, there is no shipping this sludge down a pipeline.
dcrinyyc.bsky.social
planet destroying sludge down pipelines. Yay, nigh impossible for a long haul. But wait! As well as being the primary purchaser, financier & benefactor of AB bitumen, the USA has a great solution for us to purchase off them. This solution is called condensate, it's a light hydrocarbon
