By luck caught this photo of a coyote in mid-leap while hunting its prey. I see this guy frequently in Santa Teresa park and have many still shots of him, but this is the only "action" shot I have.

I went for a walk at Lake Cunningham on Sunday morning. Here is a Great Egret hopping around the marshy area near the lake, and some white Pelicans. I've never seen this many Pelicans in such a small space. How many do you see?

I saw this Green Heron on a log on Almaden Lake this morning. The birds love to pose for cameras. My ON1 Photo Raw software did a pretty good job cleaning up this noisy image shot on a cloudy morning at ISO 4500 with a DX sensor.

I saw this Green Heron on a log on Almaden Lake this morning. The birds love to pose for cameras. My ON1 Photo Raw software did a pretty good job cleaning up this noisy image shot on a cloudy morning at ISO 4500 with a DX sensor.
