What many from that era learned is that what was preached to us from our elders was based on the hope that the battles of the Civil Rights Era were over. They believed that future generations would be judged on merit. They misjudged the hypocrisy and deeply rooted white supremacy in this country.
Any Black person born in the 80's has gotten the "keep your nose clean, stay out of trouble, and study hard if you don't want to be a statistic" lecture, but how the fuck am I supposed to process a bunch of failed white felons with substance abuse, domestic violence, and sex trafficking issues

Home insurance in areas hit by repetitive disasters is going to be the number one housing affordability issue over the next 4 years. And possibly going into the midterms.
More so than interest rates. Florida in particular is going to have huge problems.

Here in Florida we have a housing crisis of our own - developers are building affordable homes all around, but many are sitting empty because people can't afford the necessary home insurance.
