A plaque honoring Jan 6 police who defended the Capitol was scheduled by legislation to be installed by 3/2023. It sits in the basement because Speaker Johnson has not put it up.
A pin should be made of this plaque and worn every day by every member of congress who still has a moral compass.

Seeing some Republican backlash about the $400 million Qatar plane, but depressing that it took a big money headline to get their attention while deportation of a child with brain cancer and so many other atrocities were ignored. Only a dollar sign gets their attention.

Just saw a 3/2024 article about Trump's court cases, including the Supreme Court one that gave him vast immunity. Nothing new to me in the article, but when I saw the case name again – Trump v. United States – I realized that it is, horrifically, the perfect title for his entire presidency.

In an article about Trump’s attacks on Harvard, I came across a USA Today piece which supports revoking the school’s tax exempt status because less than 2% of its faculty identify as conservatives, so there’s clearly not enough diversity there.
