We all need to educate journalists covering LLMs and chatbots that "AI safety" is not what they think it means colloquially. Here we see the NYT taking that term to mean something OpenAI does not think it means.

Seen on my ride this morning
A short pier juts out into still water from the perspective of the shoreline. A few people are out on the pier. There is some blue sky but it and much of the water is partially obscured by a low fog.

This is the only path to get from A to B. It’s not accessible for people with assistive tech, but apparently is accessible for cars! #urbanism
