I play medieval games and share clips online and ponder on what life may have been like back then. I've got a two degrees in Medieval Literature and find modern games about the time can bring my imagination to life. I'm also a big advocate for #ADHD.
Good morning fellow #ADHD peeps, here's hoping you are able to find a bit o joy somewhere in the day.

Does anyone else with #ADHD feel completely hollow after accomplishing something? Or feel concerned when you are happy because you know it's going to use up all of your good energy?

It is important to remember how many of us have #ADHD. 6% of Adults at least. We are everywhere, cooking your food, building your homes, running your hospitals, designing your electronics. Don't let anyone make you feel lesser for your disorder; least of all yourself.

Hello my fellow #ADHD friends and colleagues! I'm happy to announce the beginning of a new list of ADHD, #AudHD, and other #ND supporters, experts, and content creators. We want to build a great community here, and this is an important first step! bsky.app/profile/did:...

Being a #peoplepleaser often comes with having #ADHD; it's interesting how far we'll go to please others but when it's time to take care of ourselves our reserves are low. Have any of you been able to overcome this?

Sometimes at night I think what would it be like to be a #medieval peasant? I'd get into my straw bed filled with bugs, children, my wife, and possibly an animal or two. The hearth would be keep us warm for a while. In the morning cold we watch the noblemen on their horses ride by without a care.

Sometimes on a slow Monday afternoon I think what it would be like to be a peasant in #medieval Europe. Perhaps I'd have had enough small beer by now to be moderately tipsy though my tolerance would be legendary. I'd likely be thinking about a finer meal while looking up at the Manor house.

Starting this account to play #medieval video games but then switching to wanting to create and support an #ADHD community after a few days is supremely ADHD of me. What is your most recent example of your ADHD impacting you (for better or worse)?

Sometimes on a Monday morning as I sign into work I think about what it must have been like to be a #medieval peasant fed up with the unrelenting taxes from the wealthy. How far were they pushed before they stormed the manor house? Were the nobility surprised when their barricades broke?

Sometimes when I wake up on a Saturday I imagine what life was like for a #Medieval Peasant in say, the 1400's in Europe. I'd rise with the sun, and perhaps be beset with grief at how many of my children had died before they even had a proper chance. I'd have to shake it off. Death was very common.

Ow my ligaments! Still won though :) #HalfSword makes fun fights like this possible; there is a free playtest on #Steam, so why not check it out? #medievalcombat

A flash of blades and it's all over. The long drawn out sword sequences of movies and TV shows would not have been the norm; but I'm sure it happened sometimes! #HalfSword #MedievalCombat

Spears sometimes seem like a one trick pony, but it's one hell of a trick! #HalfSword is challenging me to try new techniques! #MedievalCombat

On the way to work I like to imagine I'm a #medieval peasant stepping into pungent farm air, hoping the nobles don't send tax men again soon. I pour myself some small beer and don my feathered cap to keep the sun out of my eyes while I produce the overwhelming majority of wealth for the nobility.

Remember the move Sheathing the Sword from #TheWheelofTime? This is a pretty good example of what that might look like! I'm continually impressed by #HalfSword 's ability to bring accurate #medievalcombat to life.

Look at how hard it is to find a weak point in decent armor. I love how this game, #HalfSword helps illustrate these things!
January 15, 2025 at 8:40 PM
Breastplates are excellent #medieval armor; they work by deflecting attacks to reinforced areas or away from vital organs; but it's far from perfect coverage as seen here in this clip from #HalfSword.

What do you do when the enemy has a reach advantage? #HalfSword helps demonstrate closing the gap as quickly as possible to great effect!

Obviously I highlight my victories; but even I know when you have to tap out. #HalfSword #MedievalCombat

I hate going up against this weapon; but this strategy was very effective; the second he lost it he gave up. #HalfSword is continuously delivering amazing #medievalcombat experiences!

Getting someone in a tough position and never backing down can do wonders. I didn't mean to cut him after he surrendered. Sorry buddy! #HalfSword #MedievalCombat

Sometimes I don't know how I won, just that I did. #HalfSword #MedivalCombat

It's just a fleshwound! Brought to you by #HalfShield featuring amazing #medievalcombat one slash at a time!

It was very common in #medieval Europe for regular troops to wear all manner of armor in whatever arrangement they could afford. This fight shows the strengths and weaknesses of such armor coverage. Check out #HalfSword for more great #medievalcombat!
