That’s not his role as POTUS. This DOJ released some of them because Congress passed a law that Trump only signed after he’d ordered the DOJ to open investigations that prevented releasing 1/2 the files.

Yes, some files were sealed by courts (tho many were leaked & or avail via FOIA) to protect survivors. But by 2020, there was no ongoing investigation—Epstein was dead & Maxwell convicted during Trump 1.

Aside from CSAM & misinfo, there’s little new in the DOJ’s files.
