Just a weird RN student who likes alligators. 𝘓𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘻 𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘴 𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘳!

Born intersex, and no longer hiding it. Sorry-not-sorry.

#Alligator fact of the day! Gators (& other crocodilians) like to snack on fruit, nuts, & grains.

They've been seen "eating wild grapes, elderberries and citrus fruit directly from trees" both "deliberately and in large quantities."

This helps terraform their ecosystems via seed-spreading!

I'm a dork who likes #alligators, #snakes, and #spiders. My earliest memories from the bayou centered around these beautiful creatures.

One goal of mine is that over the next year, I'll try to drop 1 fact (with sources) a day about one of these critters. Due to unfair bad rep, they need more love!

Polio has been detected in wastewater in NY for some time - so it’s out there and probably elsewhere too. For those of us on the older side who were vaccinated against polio decades ago, the CDC recommends a booster. Check with your healthcare provider to see if you should get one.

I have never understood the glacial pace of equity in what should be progressive institutions. It’s not okay.
