Republics are systems that require people to compromise with each-other. Radicalism is the path to authoritarianism.
Why is it bad to discuss the reasons for a suspension? This is a public suspension on a public forum that occurred as a consequence of a public post and lots of users want transparency. Transparency about what the rules are and how they are enforced is the best way to build trust with the community.

Lots of kids get hit by cars on Halloween. The need for a late sunset that day isn’t an evil candy company plot. Kids also get hit by cars walking to school on dark mornings. The date is a compromise between those risks.

More and more I think the problem is specifically elites who are financing Republican radicalization. GOP voters would vote for a moderate conservative candidate. Its elites who are pied pipering them down this road because things work perfectly fine for them other competitive authoritarian states.

Trying to talk other people into violating their professional oaths is, frankly, a violation of that oath. You obviously don’t respect something if you want other people to reject it and you’re encouraging them to consider that.
