This is a great example of something blue state Democrats can do right now that will have an impact - create stronger State level civil protections for Constitutional rights, which have been eroded at the Federal level by recent court decisions.

My bill, the No Kings Act, is being voted on in committee this week. It would allow you to sue federal agents if they use excessive force, illegally detain you, or violate your right to free speech. In a democracy no one is above the law, including the President & federal agents.

Many interesting observations in here. One is why the killing of Renee Good will lead to more killings of protesters:
